Our film explores the reasons for this disparity as well as possible solutions and comparisons to other countries. We use firsthand perspectives from government officials to gain a better understanding of the issue.

Small-town southern belle Lula Baker, owner of

In this short narrative nod to the classic film Gaslight, gifted aerialist Cara falls hard for Sol, the lighting designer on her upcoming high-stakes solo show. When safety and communication issues plague rehearsals, Cara begins to doubt her perceptions and grows more and more dependent on Sol. With the outside perspective of good friends, Cara is forced to consider that her anxiety and growing insecurities have been planted in her mind by Sol in an effort to control her.

An undocumented immigrant struggles to remain steadfast in her decision to choose sanctuary refuge in a local church rather than risk deportation. Five months into her fight, the toll of her decision impacts Sofia and her family.
