She's The Protagonist She's The Protagonist

She's The Protagonist

The Protagonist, by her given name, is presented to us in her natural environment : a jungle, sadly, often lacking in density. But today enough is enough! Being the mother, the secretary, the lover, the nanny, the baby bottle, the side piece of the main male character is no longer enough for our dear Protagonist! Put on "mute" after the allocated time for female* characters in a film was reached, she runs away with her friend Voice-Over for a new journey with plenty of humor.

Jeete Raho Music Video

“Jeete Raho”, meaning “live long” is a saying that Indian elders use to encourage younger people to live authentically. The anthem was meant to encourage not just Indian immigrants, but immigrants from all around the world to continue to live long and prosper regardless of the hate they might be receiving. Much like the song, the visual production of “Jeete Raho” is strong and upbeat, with an undeniable sense of female empowerment. The video showcases the artist's life involving family, friends and highlighting both of her cultures - American and Indian.

54 Miles to Home

In 1965 three Black farming families risked their lives by providing refuge to the thousands of voting rights marchers on the historic five day, 54-mile march from Selma to Montgomery. Nearly 60 years later, The Halls, Steeles and Gardners share for the first time what their parents and grandparents sacrificed and how their families’ legacies and this historic land can be preserved for generations to come. Their stories help unveil the rural and agricultural roots of the civil rights movement, while asking the seemingly timeless American question: how do you fight for what you know is right when the majority is against you?

KEEP THIS FAR APART KEEP THIS FAR APART

KEEP THIS FAR APART

KEEP THIS FAR APART is a digital anthology series created by the rising stars of the American theatre that explores this "time capsule" of our country's history through a female-identifying lens. Between the mass devastation of human life, the unprecedented interruption of routine, and the civil unrest caused by police violence against Black communities, KTFA follows six women as they navigate this unique crucible in time.

WE THE WOMEN'S mission is to staff women in all areas of production while promoting the intersection of traditional theatre and digital entertainment. We create original, live and digital content in theatre, film, and television. We The Women was founded by Samantha Ressler and Nathalie Love in 2017 as a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, and we have since expanded into a cross-genre producing entity to support women in front and behind the camera.
