A family drama, about a non-verbal autistic six-year-old boy who with the help of his older sister, proves that his high support needs can’t stop his potential.
It’s Michael’s last week in nursery and he still hasn’t spoken an intelligible word in class. He’s been isolated for being a disturbance to his peers and his teacher worries his inability to communicate in front of others will mean he won’t get the chance to take part in the end of year assembly. When Lizzy – a stubborn teenager, and his older sister – hears of this, she refuses to believe her brother is incapable, and sets out to prove that high support needs isn’t a weakness but a door to a world beyond anyone’s understanding.
